Started over 30 years ago, Giovanni Savinovich began working for R&R in 1986. Our scaffolding division grew immensely from a small company renting temporary scaffold equipment and maintaining permanent equipment to an innovator in Permanent Building Maintenance Units. We consult, design, manufacture, install, and service BMUs for the most prestigious buildings in the United States. In 2020 we expanded our business, opening up a new company in Florida servicing the other parts of the country besides the tristate area.

SJ TYPE - SINGLE JIB
The SJ type machine (single jib) is used in buildings where longer outreaches are required. It allows reaching almost any required distance in the building façade profile. Traversing movement of the machine can be done on steel rails or on a concrete path.
Additional options can be added on request:
-
Fixed or telescopic jib.
-
Different approach systems (pantograph, telescopic, stick) to access recess areas on façades.
-
Auxiliary winch system for façade heavy maintenance (glass replacement, lift heavy loads, etc.).
-
Hydraulic system for jib luffing movement.
-
Turning platform.
-
Different systems to hide the jib behind the building parapet: telescopic mast, scissor lift, double luffing system.
-
Slewing body.
-
Detachable, interchangeable or telescopic platform.
-
Water tanks in the cradle.
-
Phone for communication between machine and cradle.
-
Full control in cradle through cable inside suspension wire ropes.
-
ISA/Restraint System when requested.
DJ TYPE - DOUBLE JIB
The DJ type machine (double jib) is used in buildings where the outreach requirement is under 16-19 feet (from front rail track) and working heights up to 820 feet. Its main feature is that the machine has two jibs for cradle support.
The most common options offered are:
-
Turning platform
-
Different approach systems (pantograph, telescopic, stick) to access recess areas on façades.
-
Slewing body.
-
Special design of the body for narrow areas.
-
Folding jibs for parking.
-
Water tanks in the cradle.
-
Auxiliary winch system for façade heavy maintenance (glass replacement, lift heavy loads, etc.).
-
Phone for communication between machine and cradle.
-
Full control in cradle through cable inside suspension wire ropes.
-
ISA/Restraint System when requested.

DAVITS
These systems were widely used around the world before the roof deck machines appeared as a solution for building maintenance in the market. It basically consists on:
1.- Base/pedestal: it is fixed to the building structure and acts as socket for the davit arm connection.
2.- Arm: portable aluminium structure with inverted “L” shape connected by its lower part to the base. It can be moved to different base locations in the building.
3.- Lifting tool: devise used to raise and connect the arm to the base.
4.- GinD® MRT: self-powered cradle suspended from the end of the davit arm.
Based on building façade configuration, terraces, etc., our team of engineers will define the quantity of davits, self- powered platforms to be used and type of rigged (roof or ground).
GinD MRT self-powered platform can be configured based on project needs as follows:
1.- Different lengths and widths (fix configuration).
2.- Modular configuration.
3.- Telescopic modules in both sides (increasing width and length).
MONORAIL
In some buildings where access to roof deck is not feasible or the building covers a huge surface (airports for instance), we can propose a monorail system as the most suitable solution.
A monorail system is made of:
1.- Aluminium/steel track. This track will follow façade profile on curves, corners and even high slopes if required.
2.- Motorized/manual Trolleys that run on the track.
3.- Self-Powered Platform (GinD® MRT): it is suspended from the trolleys through a connecting beam and at least 2 wire ropes. It can be designed for 1 or 2 operators.
The monorail system allows different building maintenance teams working on different areas providing a better cleaning performance. GinD® Monorail systems are designed and manufactured in a way that allows the GinD® MRT to be disconnected and parked in a non-visible area. Tracks can also be embedded on the building to reduce visual impact.
GinD® MRT self-powered platform can be configured based on project needs as follows:
1.- Different lengths and widths (fix configuration).
2.- Modular configuration.
3.- Telescopic modules in both sides (increasing width and length).

GANTRIES
Long atrium, podium areas or skylights are normally challenging accessing areas since they have flat, sloping or curved areas of glazing. Gantries are the perfect solution to maintain internal or externally those surfaces while integrating them into the building from an aesthetic point of view.
They are customized taking into consideration project requirements in regard to people to be carried out, material to be used (aluminium or steel), traversing system (manual or motorized), painting, etc.

SOUTH
R&R is an industry leader. It was only natural that in 2020 we would open an office in South Florida where the trend of development is on the rise. Not just servicing Florida. We are providing our expertise in cities outside of the greater New York City Metropolitan area, such as Chicago, Dallas, Atlanta, Charolette, Nashville and more. At R&R South we are offering - Design to build and installation of BMU systems, maintenance on existing BMUs as well as consulting services and façade maintenance services.
